Some Executive Coaching Examples

Here are some of the coaching assignments I have worked with my coaching clients on:

  • Transitioning to a new role, either with the same company or moving to a new one
  • Changing the culture within their team and/or organisation
  • Building confidence and courage
  • Improving ability to influence and engage people
  • Career changes - looking at options for what is next
  • Developing their ability to engage and manage key stakeholder expectations
  • Developing leadership capability as their role changes (eg leading managers for the first time or leading virtual teams)
  • Influencing without authority
  • Executive presence
  • Building a new team
  • Working through conflict
  • Communication - how to have conversations that hit the mark
  • Developing resilience

Sometimes the person comes to me not entirely clear on what the focus for the coaching is.  They know something isn't working for them and they want it to change.  For example, it could be they are having to push hard to get their team to deliver and it feels like an uphill battle, or they don't seem to be able to be heard/understood by others and need to keep repeating themselves.  In this situation we start the coaching by doing discovery together to find what would have the greatest impact for them and then we go about exploring the how.

"I’ve worked with Sheree on multiple occasions as I have progressed through different stages in my career. Initially coaching me through developing my networks and executive brand in a new role in a large, global company, Sheree has most recently helped my transition into a complex people management role, providing pragmatic support and practical tools to help build trusted and collaborative relationships with my team.  Sheree’s coaching has helped to set me up for success in these challenging roles while remaining authentic to my own style."
Fiona Hutchinson

"Sheree is a highly qualified senior coach with a vast knowledge and experience of working with individuals, teams and companies. She operates from high professional standards and is continuously looking at new ways to develop her tailor made interventions. If you are looking to make changes in the way you and your team are working I would highly recommend Sheree to accompany you on this journey”
Fiona Fraser, Executive Coach, President of International Coaching Federation, Chile

"Sheree has been very helpful in helping me consider and explore alternate responses when faced with challenges in managing my role in the business.  A key element to my development has been the valuable sounding board that Sheree has offered, while she has provided valuable support it has been through challenge not by way of a simple answer."
Jim, Treasurer

"I have worked with Sheree for the last two years on specific areas. Her coaching skills, experience and knowledge has been invaluable, not only assisting me in understanding the specific issues, but how to overcome those to allow me to continue to develop as a leader. Since working with her I feel confident that I have improved. Sheree is very personable and easy to talk with. As to the value for my money? Absolutely! I would recommend Sheree."
Aileen Naming, Director of Faculty Strategy and Operations

More Testimonials

"Easy to talk to, approachable.  The fit felt right so I felt I could be honest and speak confidentially to her knowing that it wouldn’t go further.  I’m a private person and if I didn’t feel like I had the freedom to speak openly I wouldn’t have found half the value in it.  Also Sheree’s ability to put things into context and then use a graph/diagram to explain things.  I think I responded so well because Sheree was practical, not fluffy, and not too theoretical."
Tania, People Business Partner

"It has been a pleasure and a great experience working with Sheree over the past 18 months.  Sheree has been a great sounding board for me to express my views, ideas and questions in respect of my personal development and enhancing management skills.  Sheree does provide very sound, reasonable and unbiased feedback and teaches techniques which are easily understood and used in daily practice."
Amol, Head of Audit

"Sheree is a very experienced professional, a people person with a very astute knowledge of business and business dynamics. Sheree manages her sessions extremely well, as a participant you are comfortable in the (learning) environment Sheree creates and her communication/dialogue skills are something to behold."
Willy, Manager Group Supply Chain & Logistics

"I found Sheree to be very perceptive in identifying areas for improvement and development within myself, and she proved to be an excellent coach.  We worked on developing a more strategic HR direction and together worked on specific areas of Human Resources development for our rapidly expanding International Campus.  From time to time, I have contacted Sheree for advice or information on particular aspects of HR and she has always willingly given of her time and expertise.   I would highly recommend Sheree if you want someone to provide one-to-one coaching."
Vicky Dobson, HR Manager, Future Skills

"As executive coach Sheree has greatly supported my leadership development in a personalized, engaging and fun way during a change management trajectory and also during onboarding in a new senior role".
